Rene' Hinton

Nurse Practitioner, Female, Nurse Practitioner

Rene’ is one of the principal owners of Diabetes Complete Care. She is a Nurse Practitioner who provides a specialised private service for all people with diabetes, specialising in children and adults with Type 1 diabetes (T1D), insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring (CGMS). She is passionate about helping people with diabetes to live their best lives.

Jenny Cameron

Diabetes Educator, Bachelor of Nursing, Post Grad Diabetes Management and Education, Post Grad Critical Care Nursing

Jenny is one of the principal owners of Diabetes Complete Care. Jenny is an expert Credentialled Diabetes Educator who also has experience in managing people who have cardiovascular disease. She has a vibrant personality that shows through her methods of educating staff who manage people with diabetes as well as her diabetes clients.
Jenny consults at Forest Glen, Noosa and Golden Beach. Telehealth also available.

Julie Tasker

Nurse Practitioner, Diabetes Educator

Julie is a highly experienced nurse and credentialled diabetes educator with over 33 years in the nursing profession. She began her career with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Nursing), later completing graduate certificates in Advanced Paediatric Nursing and Diabetes Education. In 2023, she achieved her Master of Nursing and qualified as a Nurse Practitioner.

For the past 17 years, Julie has dedicated her career to all aspects of diabetes care across both public and private healthcare sectors. She has deep expertise in managing Type 1, Type 2, gestational, and paediatric diabetes, and is passionate about delivering client-focused, accessible healthcare for all.
Julie has contributed to national efforts in diabetes education, including serving on the ADEA working party for national guidelines for diabetes educators and participating in the National Diabetes Education Program for schools supporting children with Type 1 diabetes.

She has extensive experience with insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), having worked with emerging diabetes technologies both locally and internationally. As a Nurse Practitioner, she continues to broaden her scope of practice to provide advanced, holistic care to her clients.
Julie currently serves as the co-clinical lead for the statewide GIRFT (Getting It Right First Time) project for gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), which aims to improve consistency, equity, and quality in models of care across the state.

David Franklin

Dietitian, Credentialed Diabetes Educator

David is a Credentialed Diabetes Educator registered with the Australian Diabetes Educator Association (ADEA), and an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) registered with the Dietitian’s Association of Australia (DAA).He has performed extensive university training, completing over 7 years of study in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics. He has also completed a post graduate certificate specialising in diabetes education.

David enjoys expanding his knowledge in every aspect of medical nutrition therapy to assist clients in managing their health conditions more effectively. The area of diabetes and nutrition is constantly evolving, which makes staying abreast of current research essential. David understands that nutrition recommendations often need to be simple, time effective, and realistic.David encourages a calm, non-judgmental approach to nutrition. His current focus is on enhancing diabetes care within the primary care setting. Recognizing that different types of diabetes—such as Type 1, Type 2, Type 3c, gestational diabetes, and monogenic forms—have distinct root causes, he emphasises the importance of personalised dietary guidance. David is committed to tailoring nutrition advice to meet the unique needs of each individual based on their specific diabetes presentation.
